Salman Khan, Govinda will reportedly reunite for Partner 2 to be directed by Sohail Khan

We all remember the 2007 hit Partner. It literally gave Govinda a fresh start in Bollywood. And now, if all goes according to plan, the romantic comedy might soon hit the screens with a sequel. While the first part was directed by David Dhawan, a Mid-Day report claims that Sohail Khan would don the director’s hat in the sequel. YouTube[/caption] The same report states that the preparations for the project are in full swing and Sohail has already registered two titles —  Carry On Partner and Partner 2. The makers were planning to make a sequel earlier but it did not see light of the day as they could not bag a good script. There was also a rumoured rift between Govinda and Salman Khan.  Govinda has often claimed publicly that he “should not expect too much” from Salman. India Today reports that Govinda was once convinced that Salman would launch his daughter, Tina Ahuja, but she was left in the lurch, something that reportedly did not impress the veteran actor. However, all those rumours now seem to be buried down in the past. Fresh reports suggest that Govinda has agreed to play a supporting role in the Partner sequel. When he was asked about working with Salman in future, Govinda had told Mid-Day, "Why will I not work with him? We don’t have any issues with each other." Apart from Salman, Sohail is keen to sign two young actors in the film. However, it is not yet confirmed whether Katrina Kaif and Lara Dutta will once again be cast as the film’s leading ladies. Sohail, who is currently working on the script of the sequel, does not want to rush to make the Partner sequel. “I’m not making the film right away," he said, to Mid-Day. Meanwhile, Salman Khan is all set for the release of  Tiger Zinda Hai  and is quite busy shooting for  Race 3.  Whereas Govinda will appear alongside Fukrey Returns actor Varun Sharma in   Fry Day .
