Ranveer Singh visits Rohit Shetty, Ajay Devgn on Golmaal Again sets; a film on the cards?
The team of Rohit Shetty's upcoming comedy ensemble Golmaal Again hosted a surprise guest while shooting for the film in a Mumbai studio.
The Indian Express reports that Ranveer Singh, who was shooting for a commercial in the same studio, showed himself up on the sets of Golmaal Again when he learnt that Shetty, Ajay Devgn and Parineeti Chopra are shooting there. Zee News reports that they had a 30 minute chat in which they also discussed the comedy genre, a personal favourite of Singh.
Singh shares a great rapport with Chopra as they have shared the screen space in her debut film, Maneesh Sharma's con comedy Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl and in Shaad Ali's crime drama Kill Dil. Singh has also collaborated with Shetty in a unique advertisement of a noodles brand that Singh endorses. The Times of India reports that the two had visited Devgn's office after launching their commercial in Chandan Cinema in Juhu in last August.
The same report suggests that Singh and Shetty are planning to collaborate on a feature film after both of them wrap up the shooting of their respective films, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period drama Padmavati and Golmaal Again. Shetty might direct Singh in the remake of Subhash Ghai's 1989 blockbuster Ram Lakhan. Singh has, on multiple occasions, been seen doing Anil Kapoor's Lakhan dance, both on and off screen, often with his Gunday co-star and Anil's nephew Arjun Kapoor.
The same report hints that Shetty and Singh may also collaborate on the film My Name Is Lakhan which is inspired by Puri Jagannath's 2015 action entertainer Temper. However, there is no official word of confirmation yet.
Golmaal Again also stars Tabu, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi and Kunal Khemu. It is the fourth installment of Shetty's Golmaal franchise and is slated to release on 6 October.
