The first look poster of Raj Kumar Gupta directed Raid is out and features Ajay Devgn in his quintessential serious and intimidating avatar.

Film trade analyst and critic Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and revealed the first look poster:

Devgn essays the role of an income tax officer from Uttar Pradesh and going by the poster, it seems he plays one of those officers who remain unscathed by the vices of greed and dishonesty. Instead, he is a serious, no-sh*t-entertainer officer who is the flag-bearer of integrity and righteousness in the world of scams and bribery. The film's tag line reads, "Heroes don't always come in uniform."

Raid is set against the backdrop of the 1980s. With Devgn playing the lead, the movie revolves around a famous income tax raid in UP and is thus based on real life incidents.

The film also stars Ileana D'Cruz and Saurabh Shukla. Raid will be the second collaboration of D'Cruz with Devgn after 2017's Baadshaho. The script is written by Ritesh Shah who has been associated with Pink and Airlift.

Director Raj Kumar Gupta's filmography includes the likes of Ghanchakkar (2013), No One Killed Jessica (2011) and Aamir (2008). Raid is slated to release on 16 March, 2018.
