Pari trailer: Anushka Sharma starrer strikes balance between nail-biting horror and intriguing thriller
The trailer of Pari builds up on the teasers that have been serving as constant nightmares for horror film buffs during a long cold night.
As if the teasers were not enough to scare the horror film buffs out of their wits, the makers of Prosit Roy's Pari have released the trailer.
The Anushka Sharma starrer is mostly seen through the eyes of Bengali actor Parambrata Chatterjee's eyes as his character seeks to helps Sharma's character who is found by the police, hiding under a bush in a forest. He gives refuge to her and offers help to battle her demons, despite well-intended resistance from his mother.
Then the trailer whooshes past a number of blink-and-you-will-miss-it jump scares till the last part when Anushka runs away in horror, from herself in the form of a ghost. Watch out for the nail cutter-featuring, nail-biting build up as the trailer of Pari packs the knockout punch.
The teasers can be blamed for showing us more than we should see as the trailer lacks new scares, besides a relatively elaborate climax. However, the intrigue behind her character and the story line remain intact.
Pari also stars Rajat Kapoor and Ritabhari Chakraborty. It is co-produced by Anushka and her brother Karnesh Sharma's Clean Slate Films, KriArj Entertainment and Kyta Productions. It is slated to release this Holi on 2 March.
