Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal’s 2012 blockbuster OMG – Oh My God! was a game-changer of sorts. Not only did it tackle the concept of God and self-styled godmen well, it also went on to become a huge critical and commercial success. Ever since the success of the film, speculation about a sequel has been doing the rounds. Rawal, who played the leading role alongside Kumar, recently told DNA that the script for the second installment is ready. Echoing the sentiment, a source told the daily, “The sequel is definitely happening. We have found a great script. Now, the whole cast has to be finalised and we should begin soon.” Rawal is currently gearing up for the release of Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi, where he is cast alongside Rishi Kapoor. Apart from PKPS, he is also going to be seen playing pivotal roles in the Sanjay Dutt biopic and Tiger Zinda Hai. The Dutt biopic will see Ranbir Kapoor play Sanjay Dutt, while Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan will pair-up, once again for the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial.
Paresh Rawal has confirmed that the sequel to his 2012 OMG – Oh My God! film, alongside Akshay Kumar is in the works.
