Kangana Ranaut didn't approach us in Hrithik Roshan case: Maharashtra Women Commission chairperson

The Maharashtra Women Commission chairperson has responded to the claims made by Kangana Ranaut in Rajat Sharma’s talk-show Aap Ki Adalat.  She was there to promote her film  Simran ,  which opened to mixed reviews on 15 September. Vijaya Rahatkar told Indian Express that the panel was never approached by the actor, who was embroiled in a legal suit with Hrithik Roshan. Image from Firstpost/Sachin Gokhale.[/caption] In the 1-hour-long episode, the actor had revealed details of her alleged involvement with Roshan, which ended with the two slapping legal notices on each other. According to her claims, she had also approached the Women Commission, but was let down by them. Calling the panel a bunch of hypocrites, she had expressed her disgust with the committee. However, according to Rahatkar, after verifying the records, she discovered that no complaint related to the case was filed with the department. After taking notice of the remarks made by the actor on the TV show, the chief found out that the commission was never asked to intervene in the matter, even though the actor was fully aware of her rights within the law. Assuring that the committee is fair to all, she said that help and protection will be provided to the actor if she approaches them even now.
