 "Jio MAMI 19th Mumbai Film Festival: Five Bollywood directors to discuss life on the sets at Movie Mela")
Five filmmakers — Alankrita Shrivastava, Ayan Mukerji, Anurag Kashyap, Kabir Khan and Nitesh Tiwari — will share the platform at the Movie Mela of the Jio MAMI 19th Mumbai Film Festival on Saturday. The official Twitter handle of the festival broke the news on Tuesday morning. All these directors, barring Mukerji, had a film release in the past one year. Shrivastava made her directorial debut with Lipstick Under My Burkha that not only was appreciated at film festivals across the globe but also received rave reviews back home when it released earlier this year.

Kabir Khan’s period drama Tubelight , starring Salman Khan in the titular role, also released earlier this year but could not impress the critics and the audience. Tiwari’s sports biopic _Dangal_, starring Aamir Khan in the lead role, released last year and currently stands as the highest Indian grosser in history. Kashyap directed the action thriller _Raman Raghav 2.0_ that released last year to a positive critical reception. His next directorial, the sports drama _Mukkebaaz_ , will serve as the opening film of the Mumbai Film Festival this year. Incidentally, he is also a board member of the festival. Finally, Mukerji has not had a release since the 2013 romantic comedy Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. He is currently prepping for his trilogy tentatively titled Dragon, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt who will also share the stage in another session titled ‘Big Talk’ where they will be in conversation with the producer of the trilogy, Karan Johar. The Jio MAMI 19th Mumbai Film Festival will take place from 12 to 18 October.
