The first song from Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming romantic comedy, Jab Harry Met Sejal, ‘Radha’, received mixed reviews from viewers. While it was lauded for the lead pair Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Chopra’s uninhibited dancing and Sunidhi Chauhan’s vocals, it was also slammed for the incoherence between its Indian treatment and European setting. Their chorused voices come across as a fine voice of its own and blends perfectly well with Pritam’s composition. Irshad Kamil provides a helping hand with his lyrics which fall into place well and never get the better of the song as a whole. Ashley Lobo’s choreography provides for some catchy, quirky disco steps by Shah Rukh and Anushka. The scenes from the movie, peppered all over the song make little sense but do add intrigue to how the story is going to pan out eventually. Shah Rukh, Anushka, Imtiaz and Shalmali launched the song at Tamasha in Mumbai on 3 July. Shalmali even crooned the song on popular demand. Jab Harry Met Sejal also stars Sayani Gupta and Evelyn Sharma. It is produced by Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment and is slated to release on 4 August.
