Prior to Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Rahul Dholakia's crime drama Raees, Sanjay Gupta's revenge saga Kaabil and Subhash Kapoor's courtroom drama Jolly LLB 2 had made it to the Rs 100 crore club in 2017. Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted the week 2 figures of Khaitan's film and subsequently announced that its total collection stands at Rs 100.74 crore as on Thursday, 23 March.

Thus, the film crossed the Rs 100 crore mark on the verge of the completion of a two week run at the box office after it garnered Rs 2.05 crore on Thursday. Its daily collections have been constantly dipping since Monday but the film managed to crawl its way towards the Rs 100 crore club.

This marks Alia Bhatt's second Rs 100 crore club film, her first being another Dharma film, Abhishek Varman's 2014 romantic comedy 2 States. On the other hand, this is Varun Dhawan's third Rs 100 crore club film after Remo D'Souza's dance drama ABCD 2 and Rohit Shetty's family drama Dilwale, both films released in 2015.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania is the fifth film under Karan Johar's Dharma Productions to achieve the remarkable feat. The four films that are already a part of the club are Ayan Mukerji's 2013 romantic comedy Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Karan Malhotra's 2012 revenge saga Agneepath, Johar's 2016 romantic drama Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and 2 States.

KoiMoi reports that Badnrinath Ki Dulhania's weekend collections fall in the top 3 box office collections in 2017, after Raees (59.83 crores) and Jolly LLB 2 (50.46 crores). With Anshai Lal's Phillauri and Avinash Das' Anaarkali of Aarah lined up for this Friday, Badrinath Ki Dulhania is expected to fizzle out by next Friday.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania also stars Sahil Vaid, Swanand Kirkire, Gauhar Khan, Aparshakti Khurana and Shweta Basu Prasad.
