Karan even said that he was rejected in multiple auditions before he bagged the lead role in D’Souza’s film. The same report quotes Karan as saying, “I have gone out there for auditions, I have been rejected and been told already by a few people that they don’t see any spark in me. However, most said that I do have potential. So, it’s good that I have been exposed to rejection early in my career.” The Bollywood Life report added that D’Souza is unsure about when his production, launching Karan, will go on the floors. “Yes, we will make a film with Karan, but it is too early to say anything. I intend to produce films, but that will happen only after I have wrapped up my directorial Captain Nawab (starring Emran Hashmi in the lead role),” D’Souza was quoted as saying. Karan Kapadia is the son of Simple Kapadia, who is the sister of veteran actress Dimple Kapadia. He assisted filmmaker Rahul Dholakia on Society, when he was just 14 years of age.
Karan Kapadia is Akshay Kumar’s brother-in-law, his wife Twinkle Khanna’s first cousin and the son of veteran actress Dimple Kapadia’s sister Simple.
