Abhishek Bachchan to play lead role in Priyadarshan's 'Bachchan Singh'
Abhishek Bachchan has also signed films with Ronnie Screwvala, Anurag Kashyap and Prabhudeva.
After starring in the film Bol Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan has been signed on for yet another film with his surname in its name — Bachchan Singh.
Bachchan Singh, which is directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Rajat Rawail and Suniel Shetty, will see Bachchan in the protagonist's role. In 2012, Bachchan starred with his father Amitabh Bachchan in Bol Bachchan, which was directed by Rohit Shetty.
The junior Bachchan was last seen in Housefull 3, which was a multi-star cast film featuring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lisa Haydon and Nargis Fakhri directed by Sajid-Farhad.
The actor is said to have been signed on for many other films as well. Speculations suggest that Ronnie Screwvala has got Abhishek Bachchan signed on for a film to be directed by a debutante director. Other reports suggest that the actor has joined Prabhudeva's Lefty, which he will co-produce with Bunty Walia.
Additionally, he is said to be part of a thriller by Nishikant Kamat and Gulab Jamun by Anurag Kashyap. For the latter, Kashyap has reportedly approached the whole Bachchan clan. While Abhishek and Aishwarya have liked the script, father Amitabh will play an integral role in the film. Mother Jaya Bachchan is set to play a cameo in the film.
