BMC Elections 2026: Akshay Kumar becomes one of the earliest voters from Bollywood, says 'If we have to be the real hero of Mumbai...'

Polling for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections has begun and Hindi film actor Akshay Kumar was one of the earliest people from the industry who stepped out to vote and was clicked at the Gandhi Shikshan Bhavan in Juhu where the voting began around 7:30 am.

The actor was clicked outside the poling booth and after casting his vote, he was seen interacting with reporters where he was quoted saying, “If we have to be the real hero of Mumbai, we shouldn’t do dialoguebaazi, instead come out and cast out votes.”

The BMC elections are being held to fill 227 corporator seats, with around 1,700 candidates in the fray and an electorate of over 1.03 crore voters.
