Bigg Boss Telugu week 9 update: Diksha Panth eliminated, cast of Jai Lava Kusa visits housemates

Bigg Boss Telugu has neared its final chapter, and the last week has turned to be the most emotional one yet, for both the housemates and Jr NTR. After a week of surprising and unexpected visits, the housemates bid goodbye to Diksha Panth at the end of week nine. [caption id=“attachment_4057219” align=“alignnone” width=“825”]  Diksha Panth. Image from Facebook/PanthDikshaOfficial[/caption] The actress was the last one to be eliminated this season and Archana, Adarsh, Shiv Balaji, Hari Teja and Navdeep have now been named as the finalists of the first ever Bigg Boss Telugu season. From family visits to movie promotions and nominations, here is what kept us glued to our screens in the second last week of the reality show. Housemates break down on meeting family members After almost 60 days of staying away from the world and facing difficult tasks, contestants finally got to meet their family members this week. During a task given by Bigg Boss, contestants were asked to freeze, fast forward and rewind their movements. While the housemates pulled off the task with giggles, the twist started when Shiv Balaji’s wife walked in to the house while the actor was frozen. Soon, Bigg Boss made Adarsh’s biggest dream come true. The actor moved the audience, housemates and even Jr NTR to tears as he met his baby boy and wife. While Archana teared up the most on meeting her mother and other families, Diksha seemed pretty disappointed on meeting only her brother and not her mother. The actress even got into a tiff after Navdeep’s sister’s visit. Hari Teja and her husband Deepak were quite the love birds and caught with each other in Kannada-style. Jr NTR visits the house This week, Jr NTR continued to enthrall the Telugu audience, but from inside the house this time. While Kalyan Ram, Rashi Khanna and Nivetha Thomas from the Jai Lava Kusa team visited the housemates, NTR made a surprise entry in the house. The actor, along with his brother and producer of the film, Kalyan Ram gave us insights on how the project took off and why it is the most special one yet. The housemates also took up the triple roles that NTR plays in the movie and entertained us with hilarious plays. Kalyan Ram claimed that his brother is an amazing cook, so Jr NTR cooked some biryani for the housemates. He also tasted Shiv Balaji’s famous omelet and Archana’s coffee. Actor Sunil too visited the house and promoted his film Ungarala Rambabu. He participated in a round of confessions with the housemates. Diksha Panth eliminated, Archana is the new and last captain After a week of arguments and fights which the housemates considered extremely petty, Diksha Panth left the Bigg Boss Telugu house last night. The actress was the last to be eliminated this season. She walked off with the ‘Viri Viri Gumadi Pandu’ ritual and awarded some pretty controversial labels to many in the house. From calling Shiv Balaji arrogant to labelling Hari Teja manipulative and Navdeep stupid, Diksha exited the house leaving the contestants frazzled. With week nine, days of Diksha and Archana’s fall-outs finally came to an end. As Diksha big goodbye, Jr NTR announced that Archana is the new and last captain of the Bigg Boss Telugu house. Since the contestant is the only one who hasn’t experienced captain privileges, she was directly chosen by the host. Seven days to go for the first ever Bigg Boss Telugu winner to be announced, and the house has never been more tense. With Jr NTR announcing a record of 4 crore 80 lakh votes in the last week alone, the housemates are all geared up for a mega finale. All the housemates except the finalists will feature in the finale.
