After delivering back to back shayaris and entertainment in the last few months, stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui lifted the trophy on Sunday, January 28. Beating all the strong contestants on the show, stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui emerged as the winner. He defeated the top two contestants including Abhishek Kumar and Mannara Chopra to make it to the winner’s title. Riding on a rollercoaster with his stint inside the Bigg Boss house, Munawar after emerging victorious has finally opened up about his journey. From being tagged as a “womaniser” to having mental breakdowns inside the house, Munawar opened up on a number of topics. In his recent interview with the Indian Express, the stand-up comedian began by speaking on the moment when held the Bigg Boss 17 trophy in his hand. “The feeling was unreal, just like my journey has been. The moment was such that I could feel the weight of the trophy. It cost me a lot but it is worth it,” he said. Munawar Faruqui admits having mental breakdowns inside BB house Speaking on how his personal life was dragged on the show, the Bigg Boss 17 winner said, “I was not okay with my personal life being dragged inside the house to this extent. But things were not in my control. It was a situation that I did not want to face but I had no option. I am not proud of anything I did but I have to move on and make things better.” He further also opened up on how things took a toll on his mental health adding that he had mental breakdowns inside the house and used to cry to bed. “I had a lot of mental breakdowns. There was not a single day when I did not cry under the blanket or in the bathroom. I used to feel very helpless. Mentally too, I was affected,” he added. Munawar Faruqui on being called a ‘womaniser’ Adding more to this, an excited Munawar who looks forward to returning home now plans to settle down himself and fix up a lot of things. Commenting on getting the tag of being a womaniser during the show, he said, “As far as the relationships are concerned the ones I made in the house, I would want to continue them. All these tags bother me a lot. But if you would have done something wrong, then you will get the punishment. If you are at that place where you can lose everything but you didn’t, you should realise that your good deeds are helping.” “There are women in my life who know the kind of person I am and I have made them feel comfortable. They will tell me that ‘you’re not that type of person’. Mistakes happen but my actions will give the answer,” he said during media interaction.
