While Saiyaara has grossed over the Rs 500 crore mark at the global box office, there were reports that Aneet Padda replaced Bigg Boss 17 fame and Shaky song actress Isha Malviya as the lead actress opposite Ahaan Panday.

Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda starrer Saiyaara has turned out to be a monstrous blockbuster at the box office. The Mohit Suri romantic musical drama garnered praise for its storyline, direction and crackling chemistry between the lead newcomers.

While Saiyaara has grossed over the Rs 500 crore mark at the global box office, there were reports that Aneet Padda replaced Bigg Boss 17 fame and Shaky song actress Isha Malviya as the lead actress opposite Ahaan Panday.

The actress shared a post on Instagram, ending all the speculations and urged media outlets and fans to stop spreading “fake news". She wrote, “What is wrong with the media pages? Kindly stop spreading fake news guys, movie tak baat pahuch gayi aur mujhe hi nahi pata (sic).”

Talking about Saiyaara, the movie is the second-highest grosser of the year after Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Chhaava.

Ever since its release, there have been reports that it is a copy of the Korean movie A Moment To Remember. However, the writer of the movie Sankalp Sadanah dismissed the news and clarified that it is not a copy of any movie.

“Honestly, so much has already been said about this. All I can say is—the Korean film is out there, and so is Saiyaara. Watch both and judge for yourself. You’ll be able to tell whether it’s inspired, a copy, or an original," Sankalp said while talking to Komal Nahta.

The writer revealed that the seed of  Saiyaara came during a casual meeting with Mohit Suri and recalled, “It was raining when we came back from a meeting. As I was about to leave, Mohit asked me to stay back and listen to something. He shared an idea and asked me if it was worth building into a film."
