Bigg Boss 11: Gaurav Gera to participate in show as 'Pinky Padosan', promises gossip aplenty
Amid multiple conjectures, Gaurav Gera has been revealed as the first contestant of Bigg Boss 11. The actor-comedian, who is popular for his 'shopkeepa and Chutki' series, will become 'Pinky Padosan' for the show. Colors TV introduced Gera through a promo video on Twitter.
The minute-long video shows Gera promising to keep things spiced up in the house. Dressed in a bright pink saree, his Pinky Padosan guarantees juicy gossip, claiming that she is the locality's newspaper.
The saree, the pout and the hawk eyes make him seem like the perfect archetype of the Indian 'aunty'.
This is not the first time the actor has donned traditional Indian attire to play a character, though. He used to play Mrs. Pammi Pyarelal in another Colors TV show of the same name before.

Having filled in for fellow comedian Sunil Grover in The Kapil Sharma Show, Gera has had a fairly successful television career and remains immensely popular on social media.
The makers of Bigg Boss 11 have, so far, managed to keep the names of the final contestants under wraps and are strategically unfolding the developments. The show premieres on 1 October.
