In a piece of shocking news for all Big Bang Theory fans, actress Kate Micucci, known for playing the role of Lucy on the fan-favourite CBS sitcom, has revealed being diagnosed with lung cancer. The 43-year-old actress revealed her diagnosis via a video on TikTok. She added further adding that she underwent lung cancer surgery a day before. The actress and comedian shared a video from the hospital explaining how she went through the surgery after the diagnosis. While the revelation came as a shock for her fans, many also expressed their concern for the actress while wishing her a speedy recovery. The Big Bang Theory actress reveals lung cancer diagnosis In the video shared on the actress’s TikTok handle, she begins by mentioning that it is not a “TikTok but it is a Sick Tok”, further adding, “I am in the hospital but it’s because I had lung cancer surgery yesterday. They got it pretty early. However, it is very weird as I have never smoked a cigarette in my life so it was a surprise. But I also guess it happens. The greatest news is they caught it early, they got it out, and I’m all good.” Further adding that she will be taking it slow in the coming weeks before getting back to painting and her life, the actress shared a few glimpses of herself from the hospital as she walks inside the corridor and rests on her bed.

As soon as the video was shared, fans took to the comment section asking her about her health. One of the fans asked if she had any symptoms which made her go check out to which the actress responded by explaining that she had one thing in her blood work that came very high. Noting that she had high CRP levels, Kate added that she went for a preventive check-up and the spot was noticed. Meanwhile, fans also dropped best wishes and get well soon messages for their favourite star in the comment section. The news has been also spreading like wildfire across Instagram and X.
