Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s box office blockbuster Animal, released in December 2023, continues to be in the headlines due to showcasing toxic masculinity. While it has garnered mixed reviews from celebs, Manoj Bajpayee has shared his thoughts on the pan-India blockbuster.

“I am very clear if many people disagree or don’t like a film, what’s wrong with that? The film is released, does its business, and moves on. The money goes into the producer’s pocket; let them take it; they invested in the movie,” said Manoj while talking to PinkVilla.

He added, “If you don’t want to watch it, then don’t. If you disagree with something, it’s better not to watch it, but don’t create trouble for the movie. You will be only encouraging a bad notion by doing so, what if others hinder your work in the same way? There should be open discourse without calls for bans or protests.”

On the professional front, Manoj Bajpayee is gearing up for the release of his 100 film titled Bhaiyya Ji . Talking about its character preparation, the actor told Firstpost, “Bhayaji is, someone who is a former Baahubali, somebody in the film starts, he’s not even a Bahubali now. But because of the circumstances, he’s provoked to invoking his past. I have seen these people growing up. I was born in this kind of a culture, this kind of a society. I’ve seen through my own naked eyes, their vulnerable aspect and their aggressive aspect. I have seen all of it. So definitely when you are getting a role to do it, you are well equipped because of your experience. You are well equipped because of the place that you come from.”
