There’s yet another leak from the much awaited Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film_._ Entertainment Weekly has just released the first image of perhaps one of comic’s greatest bad guys: Lex Luthor.
In a black and white image released by the magazine , actor Jesse Eisenberg is seen bald, quite different from his successful role as Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network.
But with various adaptations of Luthor having had him always destined to lose his hair, this may well be the real deal, though earlier ’leaks’ had showed Eisenberg with long, blonde hair. Here’s what a June 2014 report by batman-news had to say.
“LexCorp scenes were filmed over the past two days and a source tells Batman News that Eisenberg has “a lot of hair”. It’s not Eisenberg’s typical curly look — it’s a bit longer, kind of loose and wavy, and it’s dirty blonde. Eisenberg’s Luthor has spastic mannerisms, like a 20-something guy that pounds energy drinks all day. I’m told that the scenes shot take place towards the beginning of the movie… so maybe there’s still a chance that Lex Luthor could show up bald by the end? We’ll have to wait and see.”
As director Zack Snyder says, “He’s not any of the Lexes that you’ve seen, that’s for sure… other than him being a captain of industry and one person to the world and another person to himself. And bald, of course.”
“Our Lex is disarming and he’s not fake,” Snyder adds. “He says what he believes and he says what’s on his mind. If you can unravel the string and decipher what he means, it’s all there.”
Meanwhile, the film is rumoured to be split into two.
The rumour started after a screengrab of what appeared to be the trailer of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” emerged via Ain’t It Cool on 9 January, showing two titles and release dates, reports aceshowbiz.com.
According to the image, the first part is called “Batman v Superman: Enter the Knight” and will be released on 23 October, 2015.
The second part, named “Dawn of Justice”, is set to hit theatres 26 March, 2016.
