Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal has turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters in the history of Indian cinema. However, it has garnered polarising views with a particular section calling it out for showcasing toxic masculinity. Amidst this, Arshad Warsi shared his funny observation about the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial. During a roundtable with Bollywood Hungama, where he was accompanied by Manoj Bajpayee and Aditya Roy Kapur, the Munnabhai actor said, “In Animal, Ranbir did not hit Rashmika as much as she slapped him.” He further added, “I look at films as complete entertainment, I don’t want to get preachings or lessons.”

Reviewing the movie, he shared, “If it is something that is beyond something like there are things we like to see but not do. This could come in that bracket.” Explaining with the example of how Indra Kumar called him to do Grand Masti, but he did not like sex-oriented films, the actor said, “I might like watching them as an audience but I won’t do it as an actor.” While talking to Firstpost, Annu Kapoor said, “I’ve heard about the film  Animal that has received severe criticism, but the makers have earned Rs 200 crore, that seems to be more important.” Also starring Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Sonali Batra, Prem Chopra, Suresh Oberoi and others, Animal marks the first collaboration between Ranbir and director Vanga. It has become the fourth Bollywood film to enter Rs 500 crore club in India after Pathaan, Gadar 2 and Jawan. The filmmaker is known for helming blockbusters like Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh.
