Arjun Reddy: Tamil actor Vikram's son to make debut in remake of Vijay Devarakonda's film

Chennai: Tamil actor Vikram’s son Dhruv will be making his acting debut with the yet-untitled Tamil remake of Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy, it was announced on Sunday, 1 October. Dhruv to be Arjun Reddy,” Vikram posted on Instagram. Dhruv will reprise Vijay Devarakonda’s role in the remake, to be produced by E4 Entertainment. Producer Mukesh Mehta wrote on his Facebook page: “We are extremely happy to share that Dhruv Vikram will be essaying the lead in the Tamil version of Arjun Reddy. We are honoured by the opportunity and confidence shown in us by Vikram and we will work towards making it a memorable launch.” Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Arjun Reddy was a modern-day take on Devdas. It’s the story of a brilliant, alcoholic medical surgeon with serious anger issues. The film was raved for its intense, raw and unbelievably honest portrayal of love and suffering. Arjun Reddy was a runaway success. It grossed over Rs 50 crore worldwide on a very small investment.
