Arijit Singh breaks silence on retiring from singing: 'There isn't just one reason for this but...'

Arijit Singh shocked the world and his fans when he announced on social media that he was retiring from singing. And in another social media message that he has shared, the singer has addressed the reasons for stepping away from what drove his passion for years.

The singer wrote- “There isn’t just one reason for this; there are multiple factors, and I have been contemplating this for quite some time. Ultimately, I have mustered the necessary courage.”

He added, “One of the reasons is quite straightforward: I tend to lose interest quickly, which is why I frequently alter the arrangements of my songs and perform them live. So, here’s the truth: I’ve grown weary. I need to explore different music to thrive. Another factor is my eagerness to hear new singers who can inspire me genuinely.”

Singh penned a note on Instagram that read- “Hello, Happy New Year to all. I want to thank you all for giving me so much of love all these years as listeners. I am happy to announce that I am not gonna be taking any new assignments as a playback vocalist from now on. I am calling it off. It was a wonderful journey,” read his note."
