Anurag Kashyap who has always been very active on Twitter deleted his account today. This comes after a day Kashyap expressed his disappointment about The Lunchbox, which he produced, not being selected as India’s official entry to the Oscars. Kashyap had lashed out at the selection committee for choosing Gujarati film The Good Road over The Lunchbox and tweeted saying: “i dont know who the federation is.but it goes to show, why we completely lack the understanding to make films that can travel across borders.” [caption id=“attachment_1128567” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Image courtesy: ibn live Kashyap hasn’t explained why he deleted the account. However he had quickly corrected his mistake saying: “Apologies for the Dilip Saab tweet… I panicked because of three back to back messages, he is fine and the news is not true,”. The filmmaker is still to explain why he deleted his Twitter account so abruptly. Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming film Ugly will release on 11 October.
