Ankita Lokhande is best known for her television show Pavitra Rishta and her recent participation in the reality show Bigg Boss. She has also acted in Kangana Ranaut’s directorial debut Manikarnika back in 2019. In an interview recently with Hauterry, she spoke about her casting couch experience, how she handled the situation, and how she was only 19 at that time.

She revealed, “had given an audition, I got a call saying, ‘You have been selected.’ I was supposed to go to sign and I told them, ‘Yes, I will come to the hotel.’ I even told my mother excitedly, ‘I am going and I will get the signing amount.’”

Lokhande added, “When I went to the hotel, they called me in and asked my coordinator to stand outside. They said, ‘You have to compromise.’ I was just 19 at that time. At that time, it was like ‘I want to be a heroine and that phase was on.’ I played smart because I did not want to hear that I had to sleep with someone. So I asked them, ‘What kind of a compromise? Do you want me to go to a party with your producers, finances?’ So I played it very smart so that I don’t get to hear that what they were supposed to say.”

‘Was asked to sleep with the producer’

You have to sleep with the producer.” After hearing it, Ankita got up and before leaving, told the person, “I don’t think your producer needs a talent, they need a girl to sleep with and I am not that one.

Ankita Lokhande and her husband Vicky Jain raised eyebrows and garnered headlines for their arguments and fights during their stint in Bigg Boss 17. In fact, the actress even hinted about taking a break from their marriage and seeking a divorce.

Now, the Baaghi 3 star has finally opened up about her divorce comment and said that she should have been more sensible. “We got married after being friends for years. We just say things (in jest), and it was taken seriously. I’m not sensible, and I need to be more sensible and be aware of what I speak when I’m in front of the camera. I’m still learning. If our relationship was not that strong, then maybe we may not even fight,” said Ankita while talking to PTI.
