Animal worldwide box office: Ranbir Kapoor starrer beats Sanju to become his highest grosser of all-time

Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal is in no mood to slow down at the box office. It has turned out to be a universal blockbuster. In just 8 days, the film has grossed Rs 600.67 crore at the global box office and has emerged as the highest-grosser for Ranbir Kapoor surpassing Sanju (Rs 586.85 crore). Since there is no competition for the film for two weeks until the arrival of Salaar and Dunki, it will continue to dominate the box office. In fact, Animal has the potential to become the 4th Bollywood film to enter Rs 500 crore club after Jawan, Pathaan and Gadar 2. In the domestic market, the film has already entered the Rs 300 crore club thanks to its great business in the dubbed south versions.

Before the release  of the film, during the Chennai event, Ranbir revealed why film’s title is  _Animal_ and said, “I think the reason why Sandeep Reddy Vanga called this film Animal is because animal behaves out of instinct. They don’t behave out of thought. So this character that I’m playing, he behaves out of instinct to protect his family. He is not thinking he is behaving out of instinct, he is impulsive, and I think that’s where the title Animal came and once you see the film you’ll realize that this film suits this title.”

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga of Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy fame,  _Animal_ also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Sonali Batra, Tripti Dimri and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. It locked horns with Vicky Kaushal, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra starrer Sam Bahadur at the ticket windows. The film is currently the fourth highest-grosser of 2023 after Jawan, Gadar 2 and Pathaan.
