'Animal': Sandeep Reddy Vanga defends Ranbir Kapoor-Tripti Dimri's boot-licking scene, says 'Was a nice way to...'

Sandeep Reddy Vanga is basking in the glory of the blockbuster success of Animal, which has become a 500-crore grosser at the box-office. In an interview with Galatta Plus, while talking about the much controversial boot-licking scene between Ranbir Kapoor and Tripti Dimri, the filmmaker had something to say. He said, “So when she opened up, why did you say ‘lick my shoe?’ Because she said, ‘I really love you and I can’t handle your hatred. I saw how much you love your father. If possible, forgive me and don’t hate me.” Vanga added, “The point is unknowingly you are connected. You enter into a very dark world and now it’s going to screw you up completely, so I thought it was a nice way to do it.” **Animal 3** Vanga is currently on cloud nine as his latest outing has shattered several records and is currently standing tall at over Rs 840 crore at the global box office. In a recent interview, the filmmaker revealed he showed the 60-year-old Ranbir Kapoor at the beginning of the movie as he has plans for Part 2 and 3 of Animal. However, the beginning of production of the third part remains uncertain as the shooting of Animal Park (part 2) is scheduled for 2026. Before the sequel, Vanga has Spirit with Prabhas and an untitled film with Allu Arjun. While the shooting of Salaar is expected to begin in September 2004, the launch date of Allu Arjun starrer is yet to be disclosed.

Also starring Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Tripti Dimri, Upendra Limaye, Suresh Oberoi, Prem Chopra and others,  _Animal_  clashed with Vicky Kaushal, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra starrer _Sam Bahadur_ , which is directed by Meghna Gulzar of Raazi and Chhapaak fame.
