Animal box-office early estimates: Ranbir Kapoor's film mints Rs 71 crore on day 3, enters Rs 200-crore club in 3 days

After Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal seems to be unleashing havoc at the box-office. According to early estimates, the film collected in the range of Rs 71-73 crore at the box-office on Sunday, taking the weekend total to Rs 203 crore, standing right next to Khan’s film, which minted Rs 287 crore approx in its weekend. This is Kapoor’s first clear blockbuster after the 2018 Sanju. The heartthrob of the nation, Ranbir Kapoor  entered the entertainment industry in 2007 with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya. Since then he has bowled us over with his impeccable and memorable performances. Kapoor took the box office by storm with his latest release Animal. He made the audience stumped and surprised with his raw and massy avatar. The film took a historic opening across the globe and made some great records at the ticket windows. In its review of the film, Firstpost wrote, “Despite all thee flaws, what makes the film worth a watch is the impeccable performances of the ensemble and the gripping narrative of director-editor Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Honestly, the film has several high points and solid revelations and by giving spoilers I don’t want to ruin your viewing experience of the movie.” It added, “The runtime of Animal is over 3 hours and 20 minutes and I can assure you there won’t be any moment where you feel the movie is boring. Throughout the film something is happening which will keep you hooked to the screens and the credit goes to Vanga’s superb editing skills and storytelling.”
