'Animal' actor Kamaljeet Rana on Ranbir Kapoor-Bobby Deol's fight scene: 'We were shivering with cold but those two...'

Actor Kamaljeet Rana, who was recently seen in the blockbuster Animal, has spoken about the battle between Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol and that too shirtless. The actor revealed the climatic fight was shot at an old London airport and both the actors had to smoke a lot of cigarettes due to multiple takes. Speaking to Pinkvilla, Rana said, “You know about London’s weather. It was so windy and cold. But we never saw Bobby or Ranbir say, ‘It is very cold, let’s wait for the temperature to change a bit. Whenever the director said he was ready, they were ready, they removed their shirts. Imagine the number of cigarettes they had to smoke because there were multiple takes. The scene was shot for five days, and the deep dedication that they showed.. hats off.” Actor Gagandeep Singh added, “We could not just stand in that chilly weather even after wearing warmers and suits. We were shivering and they were bare chested. Hats off to their dedication.” Bobby Deol is on cloud nine post the success of Animal that is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. In an interview with The Quint, he spoke about his character in the film and how he and Ranbir Kapoor want to kill each other in the climatic battle. And the surprise revelation was a kissing scene between these men that was edited out. Deol said, “There are these two brothers, they want to kill each other, but there’s a love that they have for each other. I’m going to shoot a climax sequence with a song playing in the background, which is about love’… He said, ‘You’re fighting, and you suddenly kiss him, and then you don’t give up, and he kills you’. But he removed the kiss. There was a kiss. I think it might come on the uncut Netflix version. Then he (Sandeep) said, ‘You are mute’. After saying all this, he said, ‘You’re mute’. I was like okay.”
