Joining the likes of several B-town celebs and other prominent personalities, actor Amitabh Bachchan also attended the long-awaited Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the historic Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on Monday, 22 January. Big B was accompanied by his son, Abhishek Bachchan, as he took part in the consecration ceremony. Now that the father-son duo is back in Mumbai, Amitabh Bachchan took to his social media handle and shared a picture of himself posing with the idol of Ram Lalla (infant Lord Ram) inside the temple. In the picture, the Piku actor can be seen standing in front of the idol with folded hands as he offers his prayers to Lord Ram. Apart from that, the actor also shared a few other pictures from the temple premises and a full picture of the newly consecrated idol of Lord Ram. “Bol Siya Pati Ramchandra Ki Jai,” Bachchan wrote in his caption.
For the special day, the actor chose traditional attire, donning a white kurta-pyjama in silk. He paired the ensemble with a traditional shawl. Later, the actor also took to his blog and penned a special note that reads, “A day filled with the relevance of divine spirit .. back from the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Ayodhya .. the glory the celebration and the belief of faith .. immersed in the reckoning of the TEMPLE at shri Ram’s birth.. not much can be said beyond this .. for faith does not possess description..Can you..?” Big B meets PM Modi During his visit to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Amitabh and his son Abhishek Bachchan also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and exchanged brief pleasantries. In a video going viral, PM Modi can be seen greeting the father-son duo.
Later, Big B also met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, greeted him with folded hands, and spoke to him before Abhishek joined them. In the meantime, while Amitabh and Abhishek were among the first ones to arrive in Ayodhya for the Ram Temple consecration, they were later joined by celebrities like Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Ayushmann Khurrana, Kangana Ranaut, Anupam Kher, Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, and Dhanush, among others.
