The 72-year-old actor took to micro-blogging website Twitter writing: “T 1858 - Gurudev Rabindra Nath Tagore Anniversary…May 7… in remembrance of greatness.”

In 1913, Tagore became the first Indian to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. He is also the composer of the country’s national anthem. Meanwhile, Amitabh’s latest film, “Piku” is set to release Friday. The film, directed by Shoojit Sircar, also stars Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan. IANS
