Amazon Prime Video India announces its first Tamil series Vella Raja; show to premiere on 7 December

Amazon Prime Video India has announced a collaboration with Dream Warrior Pictures to launch Vella Raja, its first Prime Exclusive Series in Tamil. Premiering on 7 December, Vella Raja has also been dubbed in Hindi and Telugu.

Set in the heart of North Chennai in the iconic Bava Lodge, Vella Raja revolves around the lives of characters who find themselves embroiled in a hostage situation while staying at the lodge. Notorious drug lord Deva, who has used the lodge as a hideout after a cocaine heist, must now escape with his loot while avoiding traps set by the police and his rivals. The show has been directed by Guhan Senniappan, and stars Bobby Simha and Parvathy Nair in lead roles.
