Here are some fashion designers to look out for this year

Rimzim Dadu

Rimzin Dadu's brand is completing its 10th year and this time round her creations will showcase advanced technology which will highlight the new age power that we can see in today's time. Dadu will use the help of a multi-media presentation and the designer's vision will come alive through clothing and textile installations.

JJ Valaya

Fashion veteran JJ Valaya's designer label turns 25, and in order to celebrate this milestone, the designer's work will focus on the leitmotifs that forms the essence of his label. His show will focus on the three pillars of his label— Jamavar or Indian paisleys, Gulistan (inspired by the nature around us) and Punjab which takes heavily from how the Maharajas of Kapurthala dressed in court. We can expect a grand show out of Valaya, as always.

Hemant and Nandita

Hemant and Nandita will showcase a line heavily inspired by broderie anglaise. The delicate fabric will be paired with a variety of prints, and ruffles, mini dresses and pieces with heavy Edwardian details will be seen aplenty at the Fashion Week.

David Abraham and Rakesh Thakore

The designer duo David Abraham and Rakesh Thakore are also going to celebrate their 25th year in the fashion industry. Their designer label Abraham and Thakore will be showcasing an urbanised take on Indian dressing. Their label has always tried to make its fashion as 'believable' and relatable as possible. Their line-up is also expected to heavily explore block prints.

Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna

Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna will be putting up their creations in the 'See Now Buy Now' format. Their label Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna focuses heavily on modern silhouettes for the traveler and will bring an interesting touch to the runway.

Suneet Varma

Suneet Varma has been bestowed with the opportunity to be the final act in the grand finale of the Amazon India Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2018. Varma's designs will be inspired by the Garden of Eden. Sheer fabric will see heavy usage in Varma's collection, along with delicate embellishments, drapes and many unexpected details.
