All that you didn't know about the Ranbir-Katrina, Virat-Anushka double date

Unlike their western counterparts, the Indian paparazzi have a rather dull life. The ferocity with which most Bollywood stars declare they are single and ‘happy’ you’d imagine the everyone in our filmi flock are distant cousins of Sheldon Cooper. The women don’t sunbathe in bikinis in any photography-friendly location - at least the women we care about, don’t. The men are never caught passing out on bar tops. Nobody is caught on camera canoodling or holding hands even. Gossip lovers’ fortunes in India usually depend on which side of the bed Karan Johar wakes up on, thereby deciding what revelations are made in his televised coffee shenanigans. Despite Koffee with Karan, we are made to suspect that Salman Khan is a virgin. And Ranbir Kapoor is only as close to Katrina Kaif as Aamir Khan is to granting directorial freedom. And Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Alia Bhatt have as much appetite to date as Aishwarya Rai had for Krissh 3. In the Bollywood reporting desert, incidents like these happen once in a very blue moon. But a gossip fiend’s life must go on and hence they are treated to slivers of interesting information like the fact that Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma went on a double date with Ranbir Kapoor and Kartrina Kaif in Yala National Park in Sri Lanka. Tabloids and Kareena Kapoor have revealed that Ranbir and Katrina are dating. Tabloids have speculated that Kohli  and Anushka are an item. So far the only proof we have of the latter are rather aggressive ads for a dandruff removing shampoo that they both star in. And here’s what we can imagine are significant bits of the story no one reported: - Guess what buddies Ranbir and Anoushka named the steak they ordered? Ranveer Singh. And no, it had nothing to do with the said Singh’s now-famous abs. - Who would Virat and Anushka raise a toast to if they were to ever get hitched? Not Mahendra Singh Dhoni, not Aditya Chopra. Dandruff, it is. - All four went playing darts after dinner and except Kohli, everyone hit bull’s eye. Their secret to success? They decided to name a dart board Deepika. - And ah yes, Katrina came back fully approving of Ranbir now, waiting for Karan Johar to call and ask. After all, all she has to do is brave a Deepika and as long as Sonam Kapoor is around, no one will notice that she passes off just two expressions for acting. She at least has two! Anushka on the other hand, will have all these women to battle apart from IPL cheerleaders - one Izabelle Leite whose only other claim to fame was appearing in a film called Sixteen, apart from being photographed shopping with Kohli in Singapore.
