Alia Bhatt shares 'cheat code' to acting, says inclined towards characters that need dialect change

Bollywood diva Alia Bhatt has had a dream 2023. After Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani took the ticket window by storm in July, Alia’s Hollywood debut Heart Of Stone, which also starred Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan, was also appreciated by fans. The year also had her attend the Met Gala and now she’s once again grabbing headlines with her appearance at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. At the event, Alia Bhatt spoke about her love for films, while also sharing the “cheat code” to acting that she often turns to. Alia Bhatt on her ‘cheat code’ to acting During an interaction at the Red Sea International Film Festival, Alia Bhatt, noting that she is inclined toward characters that require a change in dialect, revealed that she always used to imitate and pick up sounds from people. The actress added that she chose films like Udta Punjab and RRR for her inclination towards changing her dialect, whether it is a different accent or when she had to learn a different language. “So, I take it upon myself as a challenge and I enjoy doing it. There is a lot of prep work but I feel it makes half of the job much easier where you can just give a completely new face to a character and that will not be anything like you,” she said. “So, like Oh wow! What a great actor because she’s not like that,” the Gangubai Kathiawadi actress said, adding that it’s actually like a “cheat code”, which takes new lengths in one’s performance. Sharing her acting mantra, she also recited a popular line from her blockbuster film Gangubai Kathiawadi.

She also spoke about her experience of working with Shah Rukh Khan, saying she froze on the sets of Dear Zindagi before the very first shot. On the work front Last seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Alia Bhatt is busy shooting for her next, Jigra, with Vasan Bala. The film is expected to hit the cinemas next year.
