Alia Bhatt continues to outshine her contemporaries with her stellar acting skills. Ever since her debut in 2012 with Student Of The Year, the actress has managed to carve a niche for herself in the entertainment industry. In 2023, she took it a notch higher as she embarked on a new journey to make her Hollywood debut. She starred in Heart Of Stone, starring alongside Gal Gadot. Now, the actress has opened up about her experience working in Hollywood. She also showered praises on Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra for transcending boundaries between both industries.
During a recent conversation at the Forbes event, Alia Bhatt accredited the divas Aishwarya Rai, Priyanka Chopra, and Deepika Padukone for bridging the gap between Bollywood and Hollywood, calling them her ‘inspiration.’ Acknowledging that these actresses made international collaborations a normal occurrence, the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actress said, “Many Actresses from the Indian film industry have done that and are huge sources of inspiration to me. Aishwarya Rai, Priyanka Chopra, and Deepika (Deepika Padukone), are actors who are also friends of mine but whom I also admire deeply. I have to give them a lot of credit because they paved the way in a sense. You know, made it a normal thing.”
As Alia went on to speak about the associations across the industry while also highlighting the importance of inclusivity and diversity, she said, “At the end of the day, the story should be at the forefront not where you come from or what accent you speak. What your ethnicity is or which part of the world you come from,” she remarked.
Alia Bhatt also shed light on her Hollywood debut with Tom Harper’s Heart Of Stone which features Gal Gadot, Jamie Dornan, and Matthias Schweighöfer in the prominent roles. Recalling her feelings at the time of the film’s making, Alia said that it was a wholesome film which made her think to give it a shot.
On the professional front, Alia will next be seen in Vasan Bala’s _Jigra_, co-starring Vedang Raina. Recently, the actress shared an update about the film on social media in which she informed that the shoot of the film has been wrapped in Singapore.
