After news that Karthik Subbaraj will cast Dhanush in his next film set in New York, Times of India has reported that Al Pacino, the legendary actor who is known for films like Godfather (1972) and Scarface (1983) may make an appearance in the Tamil director's next film.
The report also stated that Subbaraj had his eyes set on Morgan Freeman, but things didn't go as planned and the idea was dropped. Then the makers turned to Al Pacino; and the team is now discussing the script with him. Subbaraj's last film, Jigarthanda, was dubbed as a musical gangster film and was well received by the audience and critics alike.
