(We will publish this report on a weekly basis) Akshay Kumar starrer OMG!Oh My God! has been criticised by several right winged groups and the BJP is all set to raise the issue of how films like this attacks Hindu beliefs, in the Winter Session of Parliament. But it seems, the audiences love it. Not only was this small budget film a box office success but it was also the most viewed Hindi film on television last week. Image courtesy IBNLive.com[/caption] According to a TV search and electronic guide provider company, What’s-On-India’s (WOI) report Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal starrer comedy film, OMG! Oh My God, pipped two of Aamir Khan’s blockbuster films 3 Idiots and Ghajini to top the Hindi Movies category. While 3 Idiots took the second position, Ghajini was third. Akshay again featured on the list with R__owdy Rathore in fourth spot. Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger (Sony) took the fifth spot. There wasn’t much change in the Hindi TV show category with Bigg Boss still clinching the top spot. However, CID which started almost a decade back, took the fourth position while Amitabh Bachchan’s popular show Kaun Banega Crorepati dropped off the list. I__ss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, once again settled for the second spot and Bade Acche Lagte Hain climbed to the third position. Balika Vadhu dropped two spots to fifth. In the English Movies category, The Hangover Part II toppled critically acclaimed movies like Inception, X-Men: First Class and Slumdog Millionaire to grab the top spot. While Leonardo Dicaprio starrer Inception took the second position, X-Men: First Class and Slumdog Millionaire took the third and fourth positions respectively. _Real Stee_l took the fifth spot. Two and a Half Men is still the most popular English TV show and is followed by Grey’s Anatomy which took the second position according to Whats-on-India report. The Big Bang Theory featured on third spot and How I Met Your Mother on fourth spot. Supernatural rounded off the list in this category in fifth place. In the Sports category, according to the report, Airtel England Tour of India 2012/13 Test Live took over Barclays Premier League 2012/13 as the most popular show in cricket fanatic nation. Increasing popularity of Formula One racing in India becomes evident as FIA F1 World C’ship 2012 again features on the list at the 4th spot. Live Spanish footbal action, Liga BBVA 2012/13 drops one spot to 5th to complete this category. The most favourite cartoon show of kids is still Doraemon (Disney & Hungama). The report made by What’s On India has been based on data accumulated from various platforms such as web portal, mobile portal, apps (Android, iPhone, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Nokia Ovi), iPad and tablet apps, EPG-on-the-Cloud (Mobile TV and IPTV) and other connected devices.
