Akshay Kumar reportedly in talks to play Verghese Kurien in Shree Narayan Singh-directed biopic
Akshay Kumar is reportedly in negotiations to play the Milkman of India, Dr Verghese Kurien in his Shree Narayan Singh-directed biopic

Ekta Kapoor and director Shree Narayan Singh are joining hands for a biopic on Dr Verghese Kurien, the father of the White Revolution in India. It is now being reported that Akshay Kumar is in talks to play the lead in the film.
Akshay is reportedly being considered for the role by the makers and would possibly be offered a huge signing amount for the film, reports DNA. "Akshay’s reigning the charts and every film of his is a safe bet. So, this time around, the price will be what Akshay will take in addition to the partnership that he will command when he signs the film on the milkman of India," a source tells the publication.
Ekta Kapoor, who has acquired the rights of Kurien's autobiography, I Too Had A Dream, had earlier said, "The story of Dr. Verghese Kurien is not only engaging but extremely inspiring. I am delighted to tell the story of a true visionary."
Given Akshay's record of delivering back-to-back hits, it is quite obvious that the makers would love to rope the Padman actor in for this film, which is again based on the achievements of a visionary.
Kurien is known as the Milkman of India and is credited for what was one of the biggest agricultural developments in India. The dairy production and business saw a huge change after his revolution.
