Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan co-star in a film after 10 years in R Balki's next
The last time Akshay Kumar acted with Amitabh Bachchan was in Rajkumar Santoshi's 2006 ensemble Family. They have collaborated on six films so far.

Filmmaker R Balki has announced his next. He is all set to get his favourite Amitabh Bachchan, and Akshay Kumar to share screen space after over 10 years.
According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, Balki began working on the film during the time of his 2016 release Ki & Ka. It is yet another slice of life flick after his two successful outings in the same genre – Cheeni Kum
and Paa.
Along with the senior actor, Balki has yet another superstar in mind. As per a report by Deccan Chronicle, Balki narrated the script to Kumar last month. The actor was delighted to learn that he was Balki’s first choice and agreed to come on board subsequently.

It is still not clear whether Bachchan and Kumar will play father and son, like many of their past films together.
They have collaborated on six films, the first one being Suneel Darshan’s 2001 family drama Ek Rishtaa: The Bond of Love. Their last outing together was also in the capacity of a father-son duo in Rajkumar Santoshi’s 2006 ensemble Family.
Currently, Kumar is shooting for Toilet: Ek Prem Katha alongside Bhumi Padnekar in Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, Bachchan is shooting for Ram Gopal Verma’s Sarkar 3, the third installment in the successful political drama franchise.
Balki will begin filming this untitled movie in 2017 and will begin preparing for it only after the release of his upcoming production Dear Zindagi, directed by his wife Gauri Shinde and slated to release this Friday on 25 November.
