Ajay Devgn-starrer Raid releases new song, Black Jama Hai; depicts actor crusading against corruption
Ajay Devgn plays an income tax official who takes on a corrupt Saurabh Shukla in 'Black Jama Hai', the new song from his upcoming film Raid.
Ajay Devgn's upcoming film Raid will see him play a determined, heroic income tax officer. In 'Black Jama Hai', the new song from the film, Devgn goes head to head with Saurabh Shukla, who he believes has loads of illegal wealth hidden. The Amit Trivedi composition marks the beginning of a dramatic income tax raid which further increases the tension between Devgn's and Shukla's characters.
Sukhwinder Singh's bold voice lends an apt expression to Indraneel's lyrics. The music is ordinary and almost forgettable. You will not find yourself replaying or humming it offers little beyond compementing the atmospherics.
The words, on the other hand, sound as powerful as Devgn's signature tough guy act. There are moments when the dialogues delivered by him remind you of his good old police officer days in Singham. However, he seems more convincing as a level-headed IT official in raid. Shukla, as the local bigwig, aces his dialogues in the song, too.
Raid also stars Ileana D'Cruz. It is co-produced by Gupta, and Bhushan and Krishan Kumar's T-Series. The film is slated to release on 16 March, along with Sudhir Mishra's Daas Dev.
