Ajay Devgn ropes in Brit band The Vamps to record special track for Shivaay

A while ago, Ajay Devgn had hinted that he had exciting news regarding his upcoming Diwali release, Shivaay. However, since the actor-director hadn’t given out any further details — and The Vamps were anyway in India for other work/recording commitments — not much was made of it. Now Devgn has confirmed that The Vamps are in fact, recording a song for Shivaay. Ajay today shared the Youtube link of the jamming session on his Twitter handle and wrote alongside, “Here’s a sneak peak of @Mithoon11 and @TheVampsband jamming for Shivaay.” The video shows Mithoon at a studio with James McVey, Tristan Evans, Connor Ball and Brad Simpson, rehearsing the soundtrack of Shivaay.

Considering that there’s been a battle of one-upmanship going on between Devgn and Karan Johar, whose Ae Dil Hai Mushkil also releases on the same day as Shivaay, 28 October, we wonder what the latter will now do to up the ante? Rope in girl band Little Mix to record a song for ADHM perhaps?
