Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan’s Shaitaan opened to a warm response from the audiences upon its release in theatres. Fans have been showering the film with praises for its stellar cast, engaging storyline, and captivating screenplay. Given the success of the film both commercially and critically, Ajay Devgn is gearing up for its sequel and is expected to announce Shaitaan 2 soon.
A report by Hindustan Times quoted a source as saying, “Shaitan’s sequel will be announced in a few days. Ajay and Vikas (Bahl, director) are quite happy with the response it has got and have high expectations from the second part as well.” The source added, “The film will go on floors in a few months after the cast is finalised. There is a higher chance that the same actors will appear in part two.”
Disclosing further details about the second installment of the film, the source informed the portal that the story will be based in Kokam, Maharashtra as it is popularly known as the black magic center of the state. The narrative of the film will delve deep into the complexities and energies of black magic instead of making it about another family being targeted. The makers, through the sequel, are looking forward to unfolding another layer of the black magic world.
However, the source, seemingly reluctant to share more information about Shaitaan 2, said, “Sometimes it’s better to keep the details under wraps until the right moment. Just like in Shaitaan 2, where secrets and surprises are part of the thrill. Let’s just say, expect the unexpected and get ready for a rollercoaster ride of devilish proportions!”
Shaitaan, a supernatural horror thriller, is a remake of 2023 Gujarati film Vash. The film stars R Madhavan, Jyothika, Janki Bodiwala, and Anngad Raaj in the lead roles. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the story of the film revolves around a family’s struggle to win over the evil of black magic. The story of the film has been penned by Aamil Keeyan Khan.
