Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to reunite with director Rohan Sippy after 15 years for an upcoming untitled thriller

Rohan Sippy, who directed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the 2003 romance-drama Kuch Naa Kaho, may be directing the Bollywood actress once again, this time in a thriller. According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been approached to star in an untitled thriller which is to be directed by Rohan Sippy. The movie will be co-produced by Siddharth Anand and KriAarj Entertainment, and is supposed to go on the floors later this year. The report in Deccan Chronicle quotes a close source as saying, “The thriller will be centered around Aishwarya’s character. It will also have a younger romantic lead, two popular stars, alongside Aishwarya. But she will play the main protagonist.” [caption id=“attachment_4397715” align=“alignnone” width=“825”] ![Aishwarya Rai Bachchan/Image from Twitter.](https://images.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Aishwarya-int.jpg) Aishwarya Rai Bachchan/Image from Twitter.[/caption] The source further stated that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is very excited about the project. The actress and director Rohan Sippy go back a long way as Sippy is one of Abhishek Bachchan’s closest friends. After appearing in Sippy’s Kuch Na Kaho opposite Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was supposed to star in Rohan Sippy’s _Bluff Master, b_ut she was replaced with Priyanka Chopra at the last minute. The source also said that the actress and the director coming together is “fantastic”, and that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be in a completely new look for the movie. If the movie goes on the floors, it’ll be after 15 years that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan reunites with Sippy. Aishwarya is currently busy with Fanne Khan which also stars Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. The film slated to release on 13 July this year.
