Agastya, however, mentioned the only thing in common between Archie and his real self is that they both love music. He added that music helps him to deal with a lot of emotions. “I wouldn’t call myself a casanova. Something that we do share in common is our love for music, because it helps you deal with a lot of emotions and that’s where we are kind of similar, and yes, I am definitely not a casanova,” Agastya said.

He went on to add that it was not him who chose _The Archies_, but Zoya Akhtar who chose them. The Archies will release on 7 December and stream on Netflix in 190 countries. “Being on Netflix is such an exciting opportunity, being streamed in 190 countries at once. I find it so exciting. I couldn’t have asked for a better team of people to work with. These guys over here have become my best friends and we hang out a lot, actually a bit too much,” Agastya noted.

Agastya on his role model

Revealing his role model, Agastya said it was his grandmother Ritu Nanda. I would say my role model is my dadi Ritu Nanda. She is no longer with us but she is a person I’ve always aspired to be like. She just had this warmth about her. If you were around her, you would feel like you could do anything. And I wish I could do that for the people around me, give them that positivity and love,” he said. Daughter of legendary actor-director Raj Kapoor, Ritu Nanda died in 2020.
