After Ranveer Singh's 'Dhurandhar' and Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal,' Sunny Deol's 'Border 2' also more than 3 hours long

Sunny Deol is all set to be back on the big screen with Border 2 that releases in cinemas on January 23. The film also stars Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh.

And after Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ and Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal,’ this film is also more than three hours long.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Border 2 is around 200 minutes long. In other words, its duration is around 3 hours and 20 minutes. The exact run time might change by a few minutes after the final touches are given. It will be locked in a few days and will be known once the film secures a censor certificate."

It added, “The makers feel that it was necessary for the film to have such a lengthy run time as they want viewers to get a proper idea of the war being depicted in the film. Moreover, there are 4 major actors (Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty) and their tracks; justice needs to be done to them. This is the reason for its run time. At the same time, the makers have ensured that the film has enough dramatic, massy and patriotic moments to keep the viewers gripped and also compel them to break into claps or whistles.”

The first  _Border_ came out in 1997. The sequel comes out in 2026 January. The excitement is at its peak, especially after what Gadar 2 did at the box-office. The teaser of the sequel is out and packs a punch. It stars Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, and many more actors.

The vein is the same as it was in 1997. The backdrop is the 1971 war and the war drama encapsulates navy, air force and the Indian army. And Deol is just as fierce as he was three decades ago.
