Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali will reportedly be launching actor Jaaved Jaaferi’s son Meezan in his home production. A source close to the actor confirmed the news to Firstpost, however there is no official confirmation yet from Bhansali. Image via Twitter[/caption] Meezaan, who worked with Bhansali as an assistant director on Bajirao Mastani, has studied filmmaking from Visual Arts in New York. The film produced by Bhansali Productions and Mahaveer Jain, will be directed by Mangesh Hadawale. Bhansali had earlier launched star kids Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor in his 2007 film Saawariya. Both of them had also worked as assistant directors with him. The filmmaker’s next directorial venture is Padmavati starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor. This will be the director’s third project with Singh and Padukone after Ram Leela (2013) and Bajirao Mastani (2015). Kapoor will be working for the first time with Bhansali. Five-years ago, speaking to Times of India, Jaaved Jaaferi had said that his son was least interested in films and didn’t visit his father on sets. He said, “He is into sports and plays football and basketball. He is also into a lot of music.” (With inputs from PTI)
After launching Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor in Saawariya, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is speculated to launch actor Jaaved Jaaferi’s son Meezan in his home production.
