After Priyanka Chopra, is Aishwarya Rai being considered to play Shahnaz Hussain in biopic?

Aishwarya Rai has reportedly replaced Priyanka Chopra as the first choice to play beauty baroness Shahnaz Hussain in the latter’s biopic. Images from Twitter.[/caption] The scriptwriter Kamlesh Pandey confirmed that Rai has been approached with the script and claimed that the former beauty queen has always been the first choice to play the protagonist. He went on to reveal that two other contemporary actresses had expressed a keen desire to essay the role of Hussain, which spans from the age of 16 to 60. “We want the tehzeeb and adab of the character to reflect in the actor’s DNA. The vocabulary certainly could not be that of the Facebook and Twitter generation. Aishwarya is perfect, keeping in mind all these prerequisites. She has immense potential in comparison to the opportunities that have come her way. Bollywood has been too preoccupied by Aishwarya Rai’s beauty to challenge the actor in her," said Pandey, according to a DNA report. Hussain’s biopic will be directed by Puja Bedi, daughter of veteran producer Bobby Bedi. Puja was reportedly keen on casting Chopra in the lead role, however the actor’s dates are booked for the next two years owing to her Hollywood commitments, however both Bedi and Pandey feel that Rai will do justice to the portrayal of the beauty mogul.
