Astronomer’s CEO Andy Byron garnered eyeballs recently after he was caught cozying up with the company’s HR head Kristin Cabot on the Coldplay concert kiss cam in Boston.
After their intimate moment went viral on social media, Astronomer has placed the duo on leave and opened an investigation into the matter. While Andy has resigned as CEO, he is negotiating his exit package with Astronomer, which has resulted in the delay of the company issuing the statement.
While the details are still unclear, it is said that Andy has secured an ’exit package. As per reports, Bryon was making $469,000 to $690,000 per year, excluding bonuses.
As per the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), a report in 2023 said that the average compensation to association CEOs amounted to over 10 months of base pay is being 8.2 median.
So, according to that, the yearly base salary of Byron comes to $500,000 and monthly $41, 666.
In a post on LinkedIn, the software startup confirmed the news of his resignation. “Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted," the statement released on Saturday reads. “As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met," it added.
Coldplay’s Chris Martin also issued a hilarious statement amid the fiasco. He said, “How we’re going to do that is we’re going to use our cameras and put some of you on the big screen.”
A cartoon featuring The Simpsons has gone viral on social media. It’s the exact cartoon that recreates that viral pose of Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot.
