Vikrant Massey has indeed given solid proof of his brilliant acting acumen in ‘12th Fail’. While 2023 saw many big films released, the actor gave a film that stole the limelight with its inspirational real-life story.

In 2023 among all films from around the world that have received at least 20,000 user votes, Vikrant Massey’s 12th Fail is rated the highest, with a rating of 9.2 out of 10. The story of the film is about the success of a UPSC aspirant who has topped several lists of best films of the year back home. It’s indeed remarkable to note that Vikrant Massey with _12th Fail_ has surpassed many big releases in terms of its IMDb rating. The list of highest-rated films of 2023 has 12th Fail at the top, followed by Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse with a rating of 8.6. Other big films of the year follow suit with Oppenheimer (8.4), Godzilla Minus One (8.4), and Kannada film Kaiva (8.2) rounding off the top 5.

12th Fail has seen a rebirth with its release on Disney+ Hotstar late last week. The film has been running in theatres, grossing over 70 Cr. worldwide. But it is the OTT release and amazing love from fans that has catapulted it to the top of the IMDb ratings for 2023. Other major Indian films are rated as follows - Dunki (7.7), OMG 2 (7.6), Jawan (7.0), Animal (6.8), and Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire (6.7). Greta Gerwig’s Barbie is rated (6.9) on the site.

On the work front, Vikrant will be seen in the second installment of Haseen Dilruba, titled ‘Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba’. Apart from this, he will be seen in Sector 36 and Niranjan Iyengar’s directorial debut, a romantic love story with Raashi Khanna.
