Modi leads on Facebook and Twitter, no one cares about Rahul

Until now, the mammoth crowds at Narendra Modi’s rallies may have been Rahul Gandhi’s biggest problem. But with this development, the Congress leader can add one more problem to his “worry list”. PTI[/caption] A Barclay’s research report shows that while Narendra Modi and Arvind Kejriwal’s followers on Twitter have jumped by a heavy margin from December'13 to March'14, the interest in Rahul Gandhi on Twitter is absolutely zero. What is surprising is that even Congress leader Digvijaya Singh has more social media interest than Gandhi. Maybe the notion that Rahul Gandhi has inherited his position in the political hierarchy of India  has led even social media enthusiasts to believe that he does not rightly deserve to call the shots in the party. Even on Facebook, Rahul Gandhi’s page have attracted no/few followers in the last three months. In contrast, the ’likes’ on Narendra Modi’s page have gone up 7.7 million to 11.2 million, Arvind Kejriwal’s Facebook page has been liked by more than 4.6 million in the last three months.
